Taylor Wyant

Wyant began his construction career as a VDOT construction inspector from 1964 through 1968. In 1968, he began his estimating career with the Lewhite Construction Co., a small highway sign and guard rail contractor in Richmond Va. In 1971, he moved his family back to Hampton Roads and went to work for Century Concrete Services where he worked as an estimator and project manager. During this period, Century was rapidly growing and in addition to his primary duties he also trained several young, potential estimators as they joined the Century team. In 1993 he moved to Wolf Contractors, Inc. where he has reached the position of Senior Estimator. He was one of the charter members of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Professional Construction Estimators of America, Inc. He has served on the PCEA National Board since 1991. In 2007, he was chosen by his peers as PCEA National Estimator of the Year. During his 45+ estimating years, he has bid thousands of projects of all sizes, from renting a piece of equipment to 15 to 20 million dollar major projects, a total value of approximately one billion dollars. .
